Umesh Kumar Tilak Yadav is an Indian international cricketer who plays first-class cricket for the Vidarbha squad in India. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler from Nagpur, Maharashtra, who was born on October 25, 1987. He is the first player from Maharashtra’s Vidarbha area to play Test cricket for India.
His expertise playing leather ball cricket won him a spot in the Vidarbha team to participate in the Ranji Trophy Plate League during the 2007-08 season. Yadav made his first-class debut for Vidarbha against Madhya Pradesh on November 3, 2008. He went on to take four wickets in the first innings but did not bowl in the second, resulting in a 10-wicket defeat.
Yadav was included to the side that played a tri-nation ODI series in Zimbabwe against the hosts and Sri Lanka a month after being named to the 2010 T20 World Cup roster. The majority of the first team was either rested or injured, allowing nine new players to make an impression in domestic cricket.

Umesh Yadav Personal Life
Umesh tried unsuccessfully to join the army and the police force before becoming a professional cricketer. Yadav attempted to join the college cricket team but was denied because he did not play for any club. In 2007, Yadav joined Vidarbha Gymkhana (club affiliated to VCA) and began bowling with a leather ball for the first time in the Guzder League ‘A’ Division cricket tournament organized by Vidarbha, having previously only ever played tennis ball cricket (VCA).
