Soumya Sarkar is a Bangladeshi allrounder who bowls medium-pace overs instead of spin. Although he is mostly a top-order batter, several coaches in the country’s age groups and domestic scene have praised his seam bowling.
Soumya, who was born in Sathikra, was enrolled into the BKSP, the country’s largest sports institute, in Savar. From the 2008-09 season, he was a member of BKSP’s league campaigns. In the 2010 Under-19 World Cup, he only played one game, but two years later, he was a key component of the Australian team. In the interim, he smashed a double-hundred in a one-day match in Kuala Lumpur against Qatar. He stirred feathers when he Mankad Jimmy Peirson at the 2012 Under-19 World Cup.
Soumya Sarkar is a fantastic cricketer who performed admirably in the 2k15 World Cup. Following in the footsteps of his idols Sourav Ganguly and Brian Lara, he shifted from left-handed to right-handed hitting.
